Zugzwang is a German term that means any move that a player will make will harm his position significantly. This happens when pieces lose their mobility, or are tied down for some defensive role. Here black bishop seems in a compromising position owing to being on a very short diagonal - it can't relocate as the a-pawn will then march down the board :)
