A little bit about me
Over the past 5+ years, I have helped students get better at chess through private lessons. As a result, these students have improved their opening, middle game and endgame strategy, calculating abilities and their overall chess game.
I currently teach adults and kids of all age groups both in New York and in the Washington D.C. area.

My chess highlights include U2200 Liberty Bell, Virginia State runner-up, and numerous scalps over titled (GM, IM, FM, WIM, WFM) players, both in blitz and longer-time control games.

In addition to teaching chess, I work as a financial research-journalist with a focus on banking regulations. I hold a Master of in International Affairs from Columbia University (SIPA), and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of Virginia. I am also a Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
